On 29th of November in Espacio Saint-Gobain Madrid BioEconomic will organize an event, where global, innovative and cutting-edge vision of the environment and its profitability in the sector of sustainability, economy and care for the environment will be presented in form of BREEAM certification.
During the meeting also BIM method (Building Information Modeling) and WELL construction standard of the IWBI (International WELL Building Institute) will be discussed.
The conference will deal with different topics related to the key sectors of the current economy and with a look into the future, such as energy efficiency and sustainable building construction.
BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Methodology) is a method of evaluation and certification of the most technically advanced building sustainability and reference since 1990. It concentrates 541.000 certified buildings in 77 countries. From 2010 BREEAM is also adopted in Spain.
BIM (Building Information Modeling) is a working method collaborating in the creation and management of the construction project. The idea is to transfer all project information into a digital model. The use of BIM focuses not only on creation of simple model, but also on the project execution throughout the life cycle of the building, resulting with operating costs reduction.
WELL is a factor classification divided into seven categories: air, water, light, nutrition, comfort, exercise and mind. Each of them aims to provide the occupants of the building with greater comfort, health and knowledge. These factors often fit a specific type of building. Each construction element has one or more requirements that determine specific parameters that must be met.
Cool roof system COOL-R fits perfectly into these issues since it contributes up to 7 points of LEED and BREEAM certification, including stamps that are related to energy efficiency and environmental improvement.
