We tested a poultry farm building in Gomulina village, covered with a metal roof. A section of the trapezoidal sheet roof was covered with the COOL-R cooling coating and the rest was left intact. 4 sensors were installed in the poultry house and every day, for 60 days, they measured the ambient temperature and the internal temperature.
The tests, performed with the help of Lodz University of Technology and covering two full farming cycles, demonstrated that the surface coated with COOL-R did not heat up, which reduced the temperature under the roof — it was 3 degrees Celsius lower inside the building. COOL-R reduced the diurnal temperature gradient and protected the roof from deforming.
